About Us

THE ROOTS

Buffalo uPVC started trading in 2001 with its owner Mark serving customers primarily within a 2 mile radius of his home in Chadderton. Having spent over 20 years in this industry Mark was able to call on that wealth of experience in dealing with the local community and felt that the time was right to start in business himself and bring a more personal service along the way.

THE WINNING FORMULA

Now Buffalo can boast over 1500 highly satisfied customers in the Oldham and surrounding areas. The emphasis has been on a no nonsense approach and making sure that each and every valued customer is 100% happy when the job is finished. Mark has built his business around old fashioned values such as honesty ,sincerity and integrity qualities that are not often found in todays cut throat market place.It has also been very significant in contributing to the businesses exceptionally high referal rate which naturally reduces advertisng costs. Buffalo having earned its reputation and success and has now extended its services to a wider audience in the Manchester area with Bury being the new focal point for development with the support of Paul, his brother. Services in re-roofs and Home Security are an addition to the existing work undertaken for uPVC Fascia, Soffit and Gutter Rooflines, Conservatories and replacement windows.

INSTALLATION

Buffalo now has several employed installtion teams who have been chosen on the basis of adopting the same individual work ethic and care to detail as Mark. Most companies rely on speed as a profit building excercise.This can often result in poor workmanship being hidden away from the customers eye. Installers at Buffalo are not necessarily the fastest fitters in town but they enjoy their work and are particulaly good at what they do.

MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION

It is all too common that after the cheque has been cashed many companies forget their customers and fail in their duty to provide an after care service.Many companies conveniantly just dissapear and others change ther name slightly and start again invalidating guarantees.Insurance backed schemes are a good last resort but dont provide the customer with the level of protection quite often required. Many also have claim limits.At Buffalo we beleive that buying quality products from well established local manufacturers(as opposed to shopping around for the cheapest supplier) provides Our customers with a higher degree of security.Our suppliers also provide us with a loyalty remedial service should anything mechaniclly breakdown with your purchase.We are also of the opinion that good products fitted properly are less likely to faulter in the long term So what is the answer to choosing the right company? Unfortunately there is no magic formula the only advice is probably GUT feeling plus of course a few simple steps;

  • Ask for local addresses to see examples of workmanship.
  • Speak to local Trading Standards
  • Only deal with genuine accredited companies with a good trading history(check with companies house )
  • Remember that ALL Salesmen are on incentives to sell. DONT BE TAKEN IN
